Project Description
Ivor Andrew was given the task of producing training videos that would be used in restaurants using Tractor Beverages. Specifically training videos on how to use the specific bubblers that their products used. As a creative team we wanted to produce training videos that were unique so that hopefully they would be more memorable for the employees viewing them. I helped produce this video from start to end and will share the main things I helped produce.
Wes Anderson Video
Step 1: Director's Treatment
I put together a deck for the client so they could visualize and get a good idea of what the video would look like without any storyboards or scripts. It was more for them to buy into the concept before we started fleshing out the scripts and shot list.
Step 2: Storyboarding
After our copywriter was finished writing the script the Cinematographer and I sat down and started to come up with ideas of what the shots would look like based on what was happening in the script. I drew out all the storyboards and helped come up with a lot of ideas that would eventually be the final shots.
Step 3: Animatic
The next step was to take the drawings I produced and create a simple animatic to see how the script and storyboards interacted and to see how long the video might be. The animatic was edited by Lawrence Matusiak our Cinematographer.
Step 4: Final Video
During the actual shoot my job was to help keep us organized by using the shot list we put together and to make sure Lawrence our Cinematographer could focus all his energy to getting the shots. Lawrence Matusiak was behind the camera and helped color grade the entire video. Jason Rugg edited the video and created the opening frames in Blender.
